Textile Technology Export Law Supply Chain

North Carolina representative David David David Price (D-NC) and Howard KBA Howard Coble (R-NC) proposed the US textile technology innovation and research export Act (ATTIRE), and urged their colleagues to support the legislation of the bill and promote it.

The Minister of commerce should establish a competitive grant program to support textile research and innovation and promote textile exports.

Only higher education institutions and non-profit research institutions are eligible for such funds, including non-profit trade associations. Their core task is to support textile research and innovation.


The grant of the grant scheme should be applied to R & D activities, at least one of the following objectives:

Within an accounting year, the grant of funds under the grant scheme can not exceed 75% of the total funds, unless the Minister of Commerce determines that such restrictions can not meet all the appropriate funds for an accounting year.


HR2275 authorized the plan to spend $5000000 in fiscal year 2013, which came from the $5000000 cut in the administrative appropriation of the International Trade Office of the Ministry of Commerce in fiscal 2013.
