Holland Designer Brand Viktor&Rolf Terminates Garments Series
Holland designer Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren decided to terminate the Viktor & Rolf clothing series from autumn and winter 2015, thus focusing on the brand's advanced customization, perfume and licensing business.
Viktor & Rolf will not participate in the 2015 autumn winter Paris fashion week in early March, but will issue and sell its last clothing series, 2015 autumn winter women's wear series.
Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren explained in an interview that the fast pace, deadline and fierce competition of the garment industry limit their creativity, and give up garments to give them more time and freedom to refocus their efforts on the foundation of art and make the fashion flow with the outside world.
The reason for them is the same as last year's decision to end the garment business Jean Paul Gaultier.
This combination of designers indicates that the end of Viktor & Rolf garment series is a joint decision with OTB SpA, the holding company of brand major shareholders, Diesel and Marni, and OTB SpA boss Renzo Rosso further explains that this is the strategic decision of positioning the brand in the high-end brand of luxury fashion industry.
Viktor & Rolf was founded in 2003. In early 1998, it began to display the advanced custom series in Paris. Two years later, it focused on the development of ready to wear business. In 2003, the menswear product line Viktor & Rolf Monsier was developed.
In 2008, the brand was invested in OTB SpA and did not return to the field of advanced customization until 2013. This is the last time it has been in Paris for the last 13 years.
By the end of the same year, the brand's first independent flagship store opened in Paris rue Saint-Honor Saint Saint no road.
At present, Viktor & Rolf's men's and women's wear products have more than 100 sales outlets worldwide. With the end of this business, its flagship store in Paris will be completed in early 2016.
The brand also collaborate with L 'Or al SA (OREP.PA) L'OREAL group to expand the fragrance business. In 2005, the first brand of women's perfume Flowerbomb, L' Or al SA (OREP.PA) was launched. L'OREAL spokesman said the cooperation between the two sides will continue.
