For those who want light weight, Mont-Bell specially developed dry-tec waterproof cloth, its water resistance is as high as 30000mm water pressure, and also has 6000g/ /24hrs air permeability, and the weight is lighter 1/3 than Gore-Tex, and the folding volume is smaller than half. It is a new generation of super Pu class waterproofing breathable membrane developed by Mont-Bell. Its secret is to mix the polyurethane (polyurethane) and ceramic (silicon carbide) technology, and then use the three tiered structure. The bottom layer is a very tough film, which is used to combine cloth and resist water pressure. The pore size is only 0.1mm, the center is highly permeable layer, and has a larger pore (5~10mm). Finally, it is a thin and wear-resistant protective coating containing silicon carbide, and the pore size is 5mm. This unique structure enables dry-tec to have exceptional waterproof and breathable performance and is more lightweight. Other advantages of dry-tec include: folding volume is very small and very washable and wearable. (1mm is 1/1000mm).

In practical occasions, Mont-Bell specially chooses hydrobreeze waterproofing cloth. It is a material developed by Mont-Bell for the new generation of all-weather jacket. It is made from Mont-Bell's famous hydropro waterproof membrane, which contains 0.1mm breathable pores. Similarly, the size of the pores can only allow sweat to pass through and block water droplets. The water resistance is as high as 20000mm, and the air permeability is 4000g/ /24hrs. It is more breathable than the general waterproof raincoat. In addition, its weight is lighter and softer than other tarpaulins. The new generation of hydrobreeze-pxtm wear-resistant and folding is the first choice for making heavyweight windbreaks.
