Vietnam?

About 14 thousand workers from a South Korean shoe factory in Vietnam have gone on strike to demand higher wages to counteract the pressure of rising prices.

According to the Vietnam Youth Daily, a South Korean shoe factory worker in southern Vietnam has been on strike since the day before, demanding that the company raise their salary by at least 300 thousand Dong Dong (about 24 new yuan).

The company's management said it was willing to raise staff salaries by 200 thousand Dong Dong (about 16 new yuan), but strike workers were unwilling to compromise.

Yesterday, neither the company nor officials of the Ministry of labour of Nai Nai responded to the strike.
