The new regulations for Egyptian footwear products were officially implemented on June 15 this year. This new regulation is the most extensive, complete technical requirements and most complete regulatory content of imported shoes and boots in Egypt so far. According to experts, Egypt has formulated two footwear standards, ES 3571/2006 and EMS 3572/2006. The former standard applies to all boots and accessories, including slippers Sandals , clogs, etc. The latter standard is applicable to all sports shoes and their accessories, including running shoes, skipping shoes and football shoes. These upper materials are made of plastic, leather and textile, and the sole is made of any material.

The new regulations specify that the shoes and boots imported into Egypt need to undergo quality inspection and provide relevant certificates. The inspection includes physical and mechanical properties such as tear resistance, skid resistance and flexibility resistance, chemical properties such as pentachlorophenol, pH value and color fastness, and identification requirements such as product origin label. For children's shoes, more efforts should be made to spot check the safety performance of the tips of small parts. Clearly, the label should include the country of origin, manufacturer name, importer, registered trademark, fiber content, and the maintenance and care label made according to 16CFR423. Since 2010, China has comprehensively carried out pre shipment inspection on shoes and boots exported to Egypt. Since this year, many enterprises have also attached ILAC product certification reports to their export products.
