Inventory Consumption Rose To A 11 Year High Of &Nbsp, India Or Reconsideration Of Export Ban.

As the second largest exporter of cotton in the world, India announced last week that it banned cotton exports. However, the US Department of agriculture believes that global cotton production in 2011/12 (August 2011 to July 2012) and 2012/13 will continue to exceed consumption. 2012/13's annual inventory consumption ratio is expected to rise to its highest level in 11 years. The increase in inventory will bring downward pressure on cotton prices.
