Local Standard Of "Tourist Sole" In Fujian

The reporter recently learned from the Jinjiang Quality Inspection Technical Supervision Bureau that the local standard of "soles of shoes" jointly formulated by the Fujian footwear product quality supervision and inspection center and the Quanzhou Standardization Research Institute has already formed the draft for soliciting contributions, and plans to submit the manuscript to the provincial quality and Technical Supervision Bureau in September this year, and is expected to be formally promulgated in November.

The industry believes that the introduction of this standard will further standardize the shoe sole production.

It is reported that there are many kinds of soles at present. According to the materials, there are RB bottom, TPR bottom, EVA bottom, PU bottom, combined bottom, etc. there are sports soles, casual soles, basketball soles, health shoes and so on.

However, the existing national standards and trade standards are only two standards: "rubber soles" and "polyvinyl chloride plastic soles". The introduction of the local standard of "tourist sole" will fill the blank of the sole standard, so that enterprises can have standards in terms of production, quality control, trade and so on, which can directly improve the quality level of products, while controlling quality disputes and economic losses, and protecting the interests of footwear enterprises.

At the same time, the standard will also regulate enterprises from aspects of production, quality control, sales and so on, so as to prevent production enterprises and demand parties from blindly improving certain technical performance indicators, resulting in unnecessary waste of resources.

"As a big province of shoes and clothing production and processing, our province has hundreds of shoe making enterprises, producing hundreds of products every year.

Nearly 1 billion pairs have long been short of unified product standards.

Most of the functions of a pair of shoes depend on the sole. If there is no uniform standard, it is difficult for enterprises or regulators to measure the quality of the sole produced.

This is not only the demand of enterprises, but also the common demand of the industry.

You Yongyi, director of Fujian footwear product quality supervision and inspection center, who is responsible for the standard setting work, told reporters that as early as a few years ago, the industry had begun to call for the introduction of the standard of tourist soles, but at that time, due to various conditions and limits of testing ability, the plan was shallow.

It is reported that in early August, the standard drafting unit will organize experts and business representatives to convene.

Standard Certification Committee

The draft standard shall be examined and approved and submitted to the provincial quality and Technical Supervision Bureau for examination and approval.

"If it goes well, this standard will be formally promulgated in November this year."
