Nonwoven Polypropylene Homopolymer Polyethylene

In the new development of a series of Nonwovens Technology, Dow Chemical Company of USA has developed ultra-low formaldehyde adhesives for nonwovens in the process of disposable nonwovens and multiple use nonwovens.

Waterborne acrylic adhesives 110, 210 and 230 have been used in low formaldehyde products, such as wipes, baby and adult diapers, medical mats, medical packaging, curtains, overalls and respirators.

However, the adhesive has strong design, high humidity resistance, fast penetration and soft handle. Its textile fiber raw materials, intermediate components and terminal products are fully in line with the "environmental protection textile 100 standards".

John, Haig, manager of technology services and development in Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: "we are delighted to have made this breakthrough. Enterprises can make use of this series of adhesives to make formaldehyde free nonwoven products and bind them with cross materials. formaldehyde Completely eliminate and non-woven products.

At the recently held International Nonwovens Exhibition (INDEX11), the company displayed its newly developed non-woven hygiene product, which is based on polyethylene fiber grade resin Aspun. To meet the application of one component and two-component fibers, the product can provide excellent softness, drapability and textile properties, allowing manufacturers to have longer operating time during changing the dye gap.

Dow pointed out that Aspun resin and polyethylene Polypropylene film has good adhesion. When combined with polypropylene homopolymer (HPP), it can enhance the tensile properties of high elastic diapers.

In addition, the resin can be used with polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or polypropylene It is combined into a two component adhesive fiber under a core absorption force. In this form, the resin provides excellent liquid control and reduces the thickness of non-woven cellulose.

At this exhibition, Dow showed their soft touch polypropylene (PP) resin for the production of single component spunbonded nonwovens single particle resins.

The first product of this material is DC543 polypropylene resin, which has been designed as absorbent hygienic product and medical nonwoven fiber material. According to Dow company, the new resin has high softness, good handle and noise. This soft touch polypropylene resin has lower bonding temperature and wider bonding range, thus improving the efficiency and flexibility of processing non-woven products.

The product is well designed, and its tensile properties are comparable to that of polypropylene. In the end, the wear-resistant nonwovens with low hair loss and low fuzz rate are formed at the end. The resin can be recovered through spinning fabric and transformed into mainstream products.
