In September 12th, the Fourth Congress of the China Cotton Textile Industry Association and the 15th anniversary celebration of the China cotton textile industry association was held in Shihezi.
This Congress has been five years since the last one.
In the past five years, despite the international financial crisis, cotton textile industry in China has made remarkable achievements.
According to Xu Wenying, President of China Cotton Textile Industry Association, in the past five years, the level of China's technology and equipment has been continuously improved, and the situation of single product variety has gradually changed.
Cotton textile industry is booming, production and marketing rate is maintained at over 97%, export volume has steadily increased, international competitiveness has been significantly enhanced, and economic efficiency has significantly improved.
The sales revenue of Enterprises above Designated Size in the cotton textile industry increased from 355 billion 480 million yuan in 2004 to 969 billion 880 million yuan in 2009, with an average annual growth of 34.6%. The total profit increased from 8 billion 630 million yuan in 2004 to 38 billion 220 million yuan in 2009, with an average annual growth rate of 68.6%.
