Apart from the seven of the beginning of July each year, the magpie of the world is built into a magpie bridge before they meet.

This beautiful legend began in the Han Dynasty. After thousands of years passed down from generation to generation, it was deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.

According to legend, the parents of the cowherd died early and were often mistreated by their elder brother.

One day, the old ox gave him a stratagem to marry the weaver girl.

On that day, the beautiful fairies actually bathed in the Milky way and played in the water.

At this time, the cowherd hiding in the reed suddenly ran out and took away the clothes of the weaver girl.

The panic stricken fairies hurried ashore, dressed and flew away, leaving only the weaver girl.

Under the plea of the cowherd, the weaver girl promised to be his wife.

After marriage, the Cowherd and the weaver girl love each other and live happily.

The weaver gave birth to a child and a daughter to the cowherd.

Later, when the old cow was dying, he told the cowboy to keep his skin and put it on to help when he was in trouble.

After the death of the old ox, the couple reluctantly stripped the cowhide and buried the ox on the hillside.

When the marriage of the weaver girl and the cowherd was known by the Heavenly Emperor and queen mother, they flew into a rage and ordered the lower bound of heaven to return to the weaver girl.

The God took away the weaver girl while the cowboy was not at home.

The cowboy went home without seeing the weaver girl, hurriedly put on the cowhide and took two children to catch up.

We must catch up with it. In the heart of the queen mother, the golden hairpin is drawn to the Milky way. In the past, the shallow Milky way suddenly became muddy and turbulent, and the cowherd could not get through any more.

From then on, the Cowherd and the weaver girl could only see with tears in their eyes. They looked at each other from the river for everlasting. The Jade Emperor and the queen mother could not resist the sincere feelings between them. They were allowed to meet once a year in July 7th. According to legend, the Magpies of the world will fly to the sky at seven in the early July.

In addition, when the Tanabata is still at night, people can hear the love words of the Cowherd and the weaver girl in the sky under the grape rack or other fruit shelves.

Of course, this is only a legend.

Qiqiao

The ceremony originated from the plateau of the ancient Weaver mulberry God, believing that this belief combined with the meeting of the Cowherd and the weaver girl every July 7th, became our seventh day Qiqiao folk belief.
